COMMUNITY HELPERS UNITE (CHU)

Community Helpers Unite is an Indigenous-led non-profit dedicated to increasing food security and reducing social barriers in North Winnipeg. They provide over 4,400 meals each week to shelters, community programs, and unsheltered relatives, while offering food education, mentorship, and employment opportunities. Guided by the Seven Sacred Teachings, CHU uses a harm reduction, people-first approach to meet community needs with dignity, kindness, and respect.
